Last night, we saw Steve-O get he boot on Dancing With the Stars. But he and his dance partner Lacey Schwimmer were up bright and early this morning to talk to the folks on GMA about their elimination from the competition. The interviewer told him that he saw a whole different side to Steve-O during his time on the show. Steve-O was pretty cool about it when he said that he actually is a different person, now that he’s sober.

Lacey told them that Steve-O taught her amazing water bottle tricks….I’m not to sure I want to know what they are. But she said that he worked harder than almost any of her students ever has. Check this out:

The number of dancers with injuries this season on Dancing With the Stars is at an all-time high. And Steve-O, in spite of his previous career being filled with him trying to injure himself in strange and exotic ways, has been no exception. He hurt his back and was unable to even perform live one week. Yet his many fans kept him in the competition in spite of it all.

But, we all knew it was time for his run on the show to come to an end. It just had to happen.

I am personally very happy to see that he made it through rehab and has managed to stay sober for months now. I hope he continues to stay sober and to take care of himself. He’s spent many self-destructive years so far and it was time to grow up. Good for him!

I do have to admit that I have been completely surprised by how well he actually did do on the show. When he was announced as one of the dancers, I was expecting him to maybe last a week. He evidently has a very large fan base and he really did put his heart into his dance performances, even if they didn’t make it to professional level.

I wish him well in his future and can say that I’m glad that he was on this season of the show. Even though he’s no dancer, he does seem to be getting his life on the right track and that deserves our respect.

So long, Steve-O. It was great having you on this season of DWTS.

Tonight marked the halfway point in this season of Dancing With the Stars. It’s becoming very clear who will probably make it to the final three and who will not. After tonight’s performances, I think it’s a slam dunk that Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke, as well as Lil Kim & Derek Hough will be in the final three. My big indecision is between Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani and Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas. Those two teams are both very close in their skills and it will be interesting to see who does better as the season progresses.

As for this week, sadly, I think the bottom two will follow the judges’ scores. It seems clear to me that the two who deserve this week’s dance-off are Steve-O & Lacey Schwimmer and Ty Murray & Chelsea Hightower. I just don’t think they will be here much longer. Overall, it’s a good season with lots of interesting dancers. Here are my comments on tonight’s performances:

Steve-O has had his share of injuries and issues this season so far on Dancing With the Stars. But the good news for him is that he’s made it through rehab and seems to be straightening out his life. That’s a very good thing. I’m happy for him. Life is too precious to waste being wasted…

It’s clear that they don’t spend all their time dancing. It’s important to take a little time off for other fun too.

That’s right, you read that right. In this clip, we get to see Lacey Schwimmer from Dancing With the Stars ask some fun questions of her dance partner Steve-O. She tells him that she was freaked out when he asked her to staple “Vote for Steve-O and Lacey” to his body!! She also asks him about things he thinks will surprise the audience about him, and more.

Then, stay with it through a couple of previews, because then comes a hilarious Tracy Uhlman impression of DWTS judge Len Goodman. By Jove, I think she’s got it!

I just adore Lacey Schwimmer, the pro dancer that’s paired with Steve-O on this season of Dancing With the Stars. She just seems like so much fun and she’s really got her work cut out for her with him as a partner! Steve-O has been really struggling this season with injuries. Watch what Lacey has to say about him. She goes on to dish about Gilles Marini, Steve Wozniak and tells us who are the most unlikely best friends on the show!

What a night of performances this was! Tonight’s Dancing With the Stars gave us three couples tied for first place and perhaps a new lowest score ever…I’m not sure about that, but it’s got to be close. The injuries are continuing to haunt the Steves. Steve-O not only had a tough time with a painful back, but he also twisted his ankle at the end of the routine. Steve Wozniak still has the fractured foot, but now also has a pulled groin muscle to go with it.

There were also a couple of fantastic quotes this week too. Len told Lil Kim that she has a “Bionic Booty” and Steve Woznick did what was referred to as a “Demented Worm”.

There were some really high higs and some very low lows in the performances. Each week, it’s becoming more apparent who is going to make it to the end this season. Unless something horrible and unforeseen happens, it’s going to be one heck of a season toward the end…

Tonight on Dancing With the Stars, we found out that yet another one of the celebs has injured himself. Steve-O had to go to the hospital, so poor Lacey Schwimmer had to walk down the big stairs alone. That means five injuries so far this season and this was only the second episode! We found out over the weekend that Steve Wozniak injured his foot, and Gille Marini dislocated his shoulder. I’ll write a bit about injuries and difficulty in ballroom dancing later this week, but right now I just want to emphasize how dancing is much more dangerous and difficult than it looks.

Here is my review of the dances on tonight’s show:

They saved the best three dances for last and the way it looks right now, they are the three that we may see go all the way. The others had better step it up. And tomorrow night on the elimination show, we’ll get to see the bottom two pairs do a dance-off. It’s a brand-new feature this season and it should be interesting to see how it affects the results.

Steve-O, whose birth name is Stephen Gilchrist Glover is a controversial and quirky performer. He’s got an unusual past, filled with ups and downs. He’ll be paired on season 8 of Dancing With the Stars with So You Think You Can Dance alum Lacey Schwimmer who is back for her second season. I love Lacey, but I think she’s got her work cut out for her this season. And if there’s anyone who will shake up the judges or cause shock in the audience, it’s going to be Steve-O.

Steve-O dropped out of college to attend the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College and make videos of his stunts. Though he was not selected to join The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus after graduating Clown College, he did work as a clown in a circus at the Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop flea market.

All the while he was working as a clown, he was sending videos of himself to Big Brother Magazine editor and future Jackass director Jeff Tremaine, which led to his involvement in the television series Jackass and its hit movie spin-offs, Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, and Jackass 2.5.

Steve-O has launched his own shoe company called Sneaux Shoes. Television commercials promoting the shoe company include such acts as Steve-O jumping into garbage, getting his foot bitten by an alligator, and drinking rotten milk. His slogan is “They’re darn good shoes.”
