Dancing With the Stars Dancers Among Maxim’s Hot 100

May 14, 2009 by Lynn

We have just found out who Maxim named for their annual Hot 100 list and four of the past and present dancers for Dancing With the Stars are on the list this time.

Julianne Hough

No one should be surprised that the absolutely stunning pro dancer Julianne Hough is #25 on the list. She is so beautiful both inside and out, it seems completely deserved.

And DWTS season 7 dancer Kim Kardashian has been named #53 on the list. She may not have made it very far in the dancing competition, but she definitely has a following among the male audience members. She’s very lovely and fits the list perfectly.

Stacy Keibler

Stacy Keibler from the DWTS season 2 has been named #77 on the Maxim Hot 100 list. She’s been a regular member of this list for years, so this is no surprise at all.

Melissa Rycroft

Melissa Rycroft has rocketed from obscurity to the limelight in just a matter of weeks. Before she was chosen to be on the reality show The Bachelor, she was an unknown. Now, she’s one of the finalists on season 8 of Dancing With the Stars and has been named #99 on the Maxim Hot 100 list. Way to go, Melissa! And it’s well deserved.

Congratulations to all four women for being recognized for being so beautiful!

Another DWTS Rumor… Dina Lohan

Sephora Celebrates Its 10 Year Anniversary

According to fellow Starked blogger Arieanna, Dina Lohan is rumored to be a part of the Dancing With the Stars season 8 cast. It makes perfect sense, after Kim Kardashian’s foray onto the dance floor last season….

Apparently, when asked if she would be on the show, she commented that she wasn’t allowed to say…but seemed to laugh in a way that hinted at more to the story. And daughter Ali Lohan says that her mom would do great on the show.

How do you feel about Dina Lohan being on the show? Excited? Not impressed? Leave a comment to let us know!

Kim Kardashian & Karina Smirnoff at a Benefit

December 16, 2008 by Lynn

Kim Kardashian and Karina Smirnoff posed on the red carpet at a star-studded benefit to launch the new Karina Smirnoff Dance Intervention Division of Alternative Intervention Methods (A.I.M.). Celebrities and invited guests were treated to light food and drinks at one of LA’s newest hotspots, Blvd 16.

Kim Kardashian’s New ‘Do’

December 10, 2008 by Lynn

The paps caught a photo of Dancing With the Stars veteran Kim Kardashian recently when she was out on the town. She has a new “do” - check out the bangs. I’m not sure if I like her with bangs or not. But the Louboutin shoes are fabulous!

Dancing With the Stars 7: Dancers Out Together

October 19, 2008 by Lynn

Here’s a fun video capturd by some paprazzi this week. Many of the cast members from Dancing With the Stars were seen out together at One. We get to see Karnina Smirnoff, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Cheryl Burke, Derek Hough, Lance Bass, Warren Sapp, Alec Mazo, Edyta Sliwinska & Kim Kardashian. wow! That must have been a fun party!

Kim Kardashian Won’t Be Rehearsing Any More

October 5, 2008 by Lynn

Here’s a photo I found of Dancing With the Stars pair Kim Kardashian & Mark Ballas taken when they were leaving the dance studio. Now that they are eliminated from the competition, they won’t have to rehearse all the time any more.

Dancing With the Stars 7: As Cold as Siberia…?

October 1, 2008 by Lynn

Kim Kardashian & Mark BallasOK, I’m guilty of saying negative things about Kim Kardashian’s level of passion in her dance moves, but I wasn’t the one that did the most dissing this week! The judges were downright mean to her. The worst was Bruno Tonioli. He told her that her dancing was:

…as cold and as distant as Siberia.

Now THAT’S harsh!

I am not surprised that she went home this week, I was surprised that Ted McGinley went home before her. But that’s no reason to be cruel. She was trying to learn very difficult ways to dance.

In my opinion, dancing should always be about having fun and should always be a positive experience. Not everyone has the same ability to learn the moves or to become great dancers, but to be mean about that is wrong.

Shame on the judges this week for being too critical. It didn’t have to get that bad.

Dancing With the Stars 7: The Most Fun Dances This Week

October 1, 2008 by Lynn

This week’s performances were almost all very, very good for the second week. The judges highly favored both Brooke Burke & Warren Sapp, but I have to admit that one of my favorites was not the same.

Yes, I thought Warren Sapp was fantastic and the routine that he and Kym Johnson did with a “Matrix-esque” feel, was so much fun, But Brooke Burke’s dance just didn’t WOW me this week. (I’m not a huge fan of the paso doble…it’s just not my favorite.)

Here’s Warren & Kym’s dance:

And here’s my other favorite. It’s the one with Lance Bass & Lacey Schwimmer. So what of stuffy Len Goodman doesn’t like it? I think it was fantastic!!

What do you think? Should Lacey & Lance try to be more traditional, or should Len Goodman try to be more open-minded? I’d love to know what you think!
