America’s Best Dance Crew: Some Finale Interviews
March 10, 2009 by Lynn
I have to hand it to our man, Albert Lawrence from Talk of Fame for getting all the best interviews for America’s Best Dance Crew this season! And I appreciate him letting me know about them each week too!
At Thursday’s finale, he hopped onto the stage to talk to the men of the hour, the newest winners of the title America’s Best Dance Crew, Quest Crew. He asked them about Lil Mama’s “Ninja Turtle” comment. Here’s what they had to say:

Tonight, the season finale of America’s Best Dance Crew aired and I had absolutely no idea about which of the two final crews I should root for. I loved them both so much! And after some fantastic dance routines, Quest Crew was crowned the winners of America’s Best Dance Crew.
This group of amazing dancers was one of the two I felt strongly about all season. Last week’s performances were so incredible by Quest that I think America felt compelled …read more
Exclusive Interview: Shane Sparks, Choreographer

I’m so thrilled to report that I just finished an exclusive interview with master hip-hop choreographer, Shane Sparks. I’ve been a fan of Shane for years, ever since I first saw him on So You Think You Can Dance. He’s personally been instrumental in bringing hip-hop to the mainstream and to give street dancers the possibilities they now have to perform their craft.
He’s also a very friendly, personable man with totally contagious enthusiasm. He got a moment to talk with me just before he had to start getting ready for tonight’s season finale of America’s Best Dance Crew, …read more
America’s Best Dance Crew 5: It’s Down to Two Crews
[Photo: courtesy of Fanscape]
This week on America’s Best Dance Crew, the crews had to incorporate a number of very specific and diffcult dance moves into a longer dance routine. They called it the ABDC Decathlon and all three crews danced to the same music mix. Beat Freaks were voted through to the finale and Quest Crew & Fly Khicks had to battle it out for the other spot. Sadly for the Fly Khicks, they just couldn’t do it this time. They were eliminated.
I’ve been telling you all season long that it was a two crew season this time, and it …read more
America’s Best Dance Crew 5: Boys Against the Girls!

This week was a first on America’s Best Dance Crew. For the first time ever, there were two all-girl crews and two all-guy crews in the final four. And just like in the past three episodes, the Fly Khicks battled in the final two and stayed in the competition. Sadly, the Strikers All Stars were eliminated. Also like the entire season so far, the dominant two crews were Beat Freaks and Quest Crew. I can’t decide which one I like more of the two. But I’ll be happy for either of them to win it.
Here’s the …read more
America’s Best Dance Crew 5: Illusion Night!
February 15, 2009 by Lynn

This week on America’s Best Dance Crew it was Illusion Night. Each crew had to incorporate an illusion into their dance routine. That’s tough! They had to learn to be magicians and make it work within a dance. WOW! Most of them did a great job, but sadly for the Dynamic Edition fans, they just didn’t make it past this week. I’m glad that clogging got the chance to be showcased on a national level and even though it’s not one of my favorites, I know that it has a ton of fans. I think all dance …read more

Last night on week 4 of America’s Best Dance Crew, it was the Whack Track Challenge. Each crew had an old song that created a really lame dance sensation and they had to update it to make it cool again. I think they were all great!
Quest Crew was absolutely fantastic!! They had to update the moves from the song The Right Stuff by New Kids on the Block. You have to see Hok in the upside-down suit!

America’s Best Dance Crew: The Two Best Crews This Season
February 2, 2009 by Lynn
I can’t help it, I have watched these two performances from week three of America’s Best Dance Crew season 3 over and over! I can’t get enough of them!! Both the Quest Crew and the Beat Freaks are far and away my favorites this season. If one of these two crews doesn’t win this season, there’s something seriously wrong!
First, if you haven’t yet become a fan of Quest Crew, that features former So You Think You Can Dance contenders; Hok and Dominic (D-Trix), check this out. They had to dance to Britney Spears’ Toxic with blindfolds on for at least …read more

America’s Best Dance Crew 3: Get Ready for Britney Spears Night!
January 29, 2009 by Lynn
Tonight is the third episode of America’s Best Dance Crew season 3. And the challenge is another difficult one. The crews will have to incorporate moves and elements from Britney Spears’ videos. Here’s what we can expect to see from each of the crews:
RingMasters: Inspired by the Circus video, they’ll attempt to dance like they’re on stilts!
Beat Freaks: Inspired by the Womanizer video, they’ll attempt to perform using two opposing dance styles!
Team Millennia: Inspired by the Me Against the Music video, they’ll attempt to incorporate a hat and cane as props.
Strikers All Stars: Inspired by the Gimme More video, these …read more
