The finale of Step It Up & Dance was exciting! There was a huge live audience and the dancers started with a group dance to Fergie’s Labels or Love. Mochi was the diva and definitely was the star of the dance, which was the reason that she was chosen as the winner of the final challenge and will be featured in an upcoming new music video. (But I thought that all three guys were terrific too!)
Then, each of the four finalists did their own choreographed solo dance for the judges and it was electric! Each …read more

Tomorrow night is the season finale of Step It Up & Dance. We’ll get to see each of the final four perform their own solo dance as well as a choreographed group dance. Miguel hurt his ankle just hours before the finale and it will be tense finding out how well he does in the competition with an injury. Here’s sneak peek at the finale, just to get us more excited about it:

Since we last saw the dancers, they’ve been very busy with their careers. First, they got to perform Thriller for the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s mega-hit live in New York City. (I do wish we had gotten to see the entire dance…)
And we saw each of them and the projects they’ve been working on bfore coming back for the finale. Plays, films, commercials…lots of great projects. They all really are wonderfully talented.
I was touched by Cody’s story, though. He had a dance partner hit by a car, then a girlfriend die and on the …read more

After a break, the final five Step It Up & Dance dancers return for the making of the two-part season finale. They have had a chance to rest up, practice their craft and get ready for the toughest challenge of their lives. Step It Up & Dance: Dancing With an Umbrella

Last week, Oscar got to rejoin the others in the Step It Up & Dance competition. I was happy about that because I have thought that he was one of the more talented ones from the beginning.
This week’s guest choreographer and judge was Tina Landon who has worked with nearly every major star today. When the dancers got in the limo to be taken to their dance location, Tina was there and they saw a video of Rihanna telling them that they would be dancing with umbrellas as in her music video that Tina …read more

This week, the dancers find out that they need to master Latin dancing. Miguel feels comfortable with it since he is Latino, but the others are not so sure. Nick and Cody also have some fun playing pranks on each other now that they are the only two in their suite.
It’s now down to the final five and they are all terrifically talented so it could be anyone’s competition to win…or lose. Here’s a preview of tomorrow night’s episode:

Step It Up & Dance: Dancing With an Atom
[Photos: © 2008 NBC Universal, Inc.]
This week, on Step It Up & Dance, the dancers had to pair up and do a modern dance in a mattress store. Each pair was to pretend they were a new couple who were needing to choose a new mattress together. Th dances they created were all fun and interesting and when they were finished, they were divided into two teams, but not told which team was up for elimination.
Here are some clips from the episode this week:
Then they were shown a giant staircase with trap doors and a hanging metal “atom” that they …read more

This week, on Step It Up & Dance, the dancers were asked to do several very demanding numbers from the Braodway musical Damn Ynakees. Guest this week was actor Jason Alexander who co-produced the play on Broadway. He brought his choreographer with him and together they challenged the dancers to learn some pretty tough routines and perform them.
Here are some clips from the episode this week:
