So You Think You Can Dance: Performance Night

[Photos: ©2008 Fox Broadcasting Co. CR: Joe Viles/FOX]
Normally, I would walk through each dance routine with my own critique, ending with a comment or two about which dances were the most noteworthy for the evening, but tonight, I have to do it differently.
The dance that Will & Jessica danced was truly magnificent! Tyce Diorio […]

Dancing With the Stars 6: Waltz & Paso Doble

The most unusual “dance” of the night was definitely that of Adam Carolla and his pro partner Julianne Hough. They were dancing the paso doble, and Adam made his grand entrance riding on a unicycle. Don’t ask me why, he just did.
My favorite comment by one of the judges was when […]

Dancing With the Stars 6: More Men’s Performances

The cha-cha and foxtrot routines the men did in the premiere were totally fun to watch. And so far, I have a favorite of the men dancers. It’s Mario and his partner Karina Smirnoff. As a hip-hop singer, Mario has had to dance for his videos, so I wasn’t at all surprised […]

Dancing With the Stars 5: The Romantic Rumba

On last night’s Dancing With the Stars, half of the dancers did the rumba. According to dancer Mark Ballas, “The rumba is a vertical expression of a horizontal desire.” Very aptly said!
Finally, Sabrina Bryan & Mark Ballas danced the samba with their usual passion. Tom Bergeron told them to “Get a room.”

(lots more after the […]

Dancing With the Stars 5: The Sizzling Samba

On last night’s Dancing With the Stars, half of the dancers did the samba. It’s a Latin dance that requires a lot of hip action.
First, there was Marie Osmond & Jonathan Roberts danced the Then, before we could hear the judges comments, Marie fainted! They immediately cut to a very long commercial break and […]

Dancing With the Stars: A Surprise Elimination!

Am I the only one surprised at the team that was eliminated this week? I was certain that Wayne Newton and Cheryl Burke were going to be eliminated. What a shock!! Oh, well, here’s the recap of the results show:
Last night, we were lucky enough to have Queen Latifah sing a couple of great songs […]

Dancing With the Stars: Josie Maran Bows Out

Last night was the first elimination on the Dancing With the Stars fifth season. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to anyone that the first to go home was the supermodel, Josie Maran and her partner, Alec Mazo. She apparently is lovely, but not the most athletic pf women. (I’m sure not many […]

Dancing With the Stars: The Men Take the Floor

Last night was the testoterone version of the Monday night show. The six hunky male dance stars took the floor to show off their new dance skills. There are a couple of real contenders among the men too. I think this season’s stars may be the most talented so far.
Here’s the first dance of the […]
