Dancing With the Stars 5: Helio & Julianne Are the Champs!

Tonight Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough were crowned the champoins of Dancing With the Stars season 5.
Congratulations, Helio & Julianne!
And what a season it’s been. Here’s a quick overview of some of the events of the season that are noteworthy:
- Two of the dancers, Jane Seymour & Marie Osmond lost a parent during the season
- We saw the most shocking elimination ever when Sabrina Bryan was eliminated so early. (I had thought she would win it all…)
- Jennie Garth fell down during her dance
- Jane Seymour missed an episode because of serious food poisoning
- Marie Osmond fainted on live TV
- Marie Osmond’s son went into rehab
- We saw some amazingly great dances and some very surprisingly not-so-great dances
Overall, I fell that this has been the most exciting and unpredictable season yet. So I wonder what they have in store for us in season 6!

Dancing With the Stars: Josie Maran Bows Out

Last night was the first elimination on the Dancing With the Stars fifth season. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to anyone that the first to go home was the supermodel, Josie Maran and her partner, Alec Mazo. She apparently is lovely, but not the most athletic pf women. (I’m sure not many men mind that when they enjiy her photos…)

Dancing With the Stars: The Women Dance
Season 5 of Dancing With the Stars kicked off last night with the six women doing their debut dances. They each had to do either a Cha-Cha or a Foxtrot. None of the women were truly bad. (You know, some seasons, the first show gives us a couple of totally awful dancers…the ones we know will not last long.) They were all pretty good for the first show of the season!
And a couple of them were fabulous! I think we’re in for a great season! Perhaps we’ll even get another woman winner this year…

 Melanie BrownPROFESSION: Singer, member of Spice Girls PARTNER: Maksim Chmerkovskiy BACKGROUND: From 2001 2004, Brown took a break from recording and starred as “Mimi” in the Broadway musical Rent. She also performed in Vagina Monologues in London. In June 2007, after much speculation, plans were announced for a Spice Girls worldwide reunion tour kicking off on December 2, 2007. Brown has two daughters and is married to longtime friend and movie producer, Stephen Belafonte. |
