So You Think You Can Dance: Performances This Week

We’re down to the final 8 dancers for the season and just two weeks away from the season finale. Was anyone else as shocked as I was that Kherington was sent home last week? Oh, well, it’s a new week and this time our guest judge is Toni Basil. Here’s the run-down of the performances tonight:
Courtney & Will performed a Samba routine choreographed by Jean-Marc Generaux - 5
Twitch & Katee danced Contemporary choreographed by Mia Michaels 5
Mark & Comfort danced Hip-Hop choreographed by Tabitha & Napoleon D’Umo - 4.5
Joshua & Chelsie danced Argentine Tango choreographed by Dmitry Chaplin (finalist from season 2) - 4.75
Courtney & Will performed a Hip-Hop routine choreographed by Tabitha & Napoleon D’Umo - 5
Twitch & Katee danced Broadway choreographed by Tyce Diorio 5
Mark & Comfort danced Fox Trot choreographed by Jean-Marc Generaux - 3.5
Joshua & Chelsie danced Disco choreographed by Dorianna Sanchez - 4.5
My prediction for the bottom two tomorrow night will be Joshua & Chelsie and Mark & Comfort. I have to revise my prediction for the final four now that Kherington is gone. I think it will come down to Will, Twitch, Courtney & Katee. I think Will may have it this season….let’s see if I’m right. ;-)

Oh the competition is getting tough! I have a feeling Comfort will leave tonight only because she doesn’t seem to have a big fan base. I give her so much credit for trying and making it as far as she has as a hip hop dancer.
This season the hip hop dancers are taking the show on by storm. I am very proud of their efforts! Joshua is my favorite and I continue to vote for him. Twitch is just amazing, I love to watch his solos. By the way speaking of Twitch has anyone seen the movie Hairspray? Well, twitch is in that movie and I’m surprised he didn’t mention it in his video last night. Maybe he can’t or the show doesn’t know but he is in that movie.
Anyway I wish them all the best at this point. Will is just amazing and so is Katie. It will definitely be interestinig t see who wins this as they are all pretty good.

The challenge with dancers relying on America to vote is similar to what happens in politics - the wrong people get in and the right people don’t because no one votes for them.
That Will, undoubtedly the best male dancer this season and quite possibly the best male dancer of any season, was cut this early in the elimination shows that people assumed he was safe, being that good. And this amazing talent - who will absolutely become a great asset to professional dance - is no longer part of the competition.
Mark continues on and while good, he’s not great and will get cut in the next round. Unless viewers don’t vote and assume Twitch and Joshua are safe. Kherrington got cut for the same reason - how could Comfort, week after week, stay safe when every judge said that her dancing was extremely weak, except the hip hop, her genre.
Voting is important and I think Nigel’s t-shirt and PSA was an attempt to prompt viewers to do the right thing…but unfortunately they didn’t and Will is gone.
And the show is pooer for it…..

I totally agree with you! Why else would the most talented dancer this season get cut? The only consolation I can think of is that I/we get to see him perform on the tour. How sad that he’s gone!!
