Marissa Jaret Winokur & Tony DovolaniThis week was Marissa Jaret Winokur’s time to leave the competition. It’s amazing how much she grew as a dancer and how fun whe was to watch on the dance floor. And my favorite thing that she said about being on the show was that she wanted to prove to America that one doesn’t have to be a size zero to be a good dancer. (Go, Girl!!)

With her infectious personality and her total enthusiasm, she made us all love her each week as she performed her dances. It was easy to tell that she and Tony Dovolani bonded as partners, and I wonder if it was all about the personalities, or if there was that added thing they both share. Both of them and their spouses are expecting babies. Marissa and her husband are using a surrogate for theirs. And those of us who have had new babies in the house know that it’s good that she took part in this season before the baby came, because she’ll have so much less time (and sleep!) after the baby arrives.

I’m happy that Marissa did so well this season and wish her the best of everything with her new arrival.

Now, its down to the final three this week and it could be anyone’s chance to win. Personally, I hope it’s Kristi, since we need another female champion. ;-)

I heard her say on Regis that she dropped 45 pounds before the show started. And now her legs are very buff too. Dancing rocks. Nice job Marissa.
