Dancing With the Stars 6: New Online Features for Show Fans
To help fans of Dancing With the Stars enjoy the show and even learn the steps, ABC is giving us some brand-new online features that we’ve never seen before:
Now viewers can show off their dance moves by uploading their own videos in the Fan Spotlight Dances UGV (user generated video) section, and website visitors can watch and rate the performances.
Also new to the website is Dance Studio, featuring “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba. Each week Carrie Ann, along with two professional dancers, will show you how to perform dances from the show — including the cha cha, waltz, fox trot and tango — just like the pros.
A new hosted weekly show will feature commentary, reviews and analysis from “Dancing with the Stars” insiders and recap the week’s performances and scores, as well as highlight the celebrity confessionals, along with the UGV videos.
A new fitness section will launch using content from the recent book, “Dancing with the Stars: Jive, Samba and Tango Your Way into the Best Shape of Your Life,” that will give fans a detailed look at select workout routines that the dancers use to stay in shape and prepare for performances.
Dancing With the Stars 6 premieres on March 17 at 8 pm ET.

Gee, with the Carrie Ann thing, do you think they are trying to address the fact that we know nothing about her credibility in ballroom dance? That has bugged me since the first year, I have seen her dance resume, and while its impressive, I still don’t understand why she is qualified to judge the show. I wonder if the pros are ones that are competing, or if it will be someone like Maks or Elena, that have been on, but are not competing this year. Can’t wait for Monday!
