Dancing With the Stars: Jane Seymour is Eliminated

by Lynn on November 6th, 2007

Jane SeymourThis season, Jane Seymour has been through so much. She’s had food poisoning and lost her mother, all while learning new dance styles each week. She’s overcome so much and stayed longer than Sabrina Bryan, a fact that no one expected.

Jane is the oldest woman to take part in Dancing With the Stars and has managed to look graceful and refined while mastering the moves all season. I think we’ve all enjoyed seeing her perform, but tonight her run on the show came to an end. Thanks, Jane for being so strong and beautiful all season. We wish you well.

Jane brought such grace and elegance to the dance floor but it was that same grace that was her downfall. She just didn’t have the spark for the Latin dances - and I say this only in comparison to the others on the show. She’s a wonderful performer and I enjoyed seeing her so much.

I give Jane Seymour sooo much credit. She is a graceful and beautiful dancer. I am the same age as Jane and belive me, I could not get up and dance the way she did. She has a terrific body and I enjoyed seeing her varied talents (other than acting). She is a gifted and spirited performer.

If this show WASN’T based on the HUGE amounts of MORMON CULT votes but based instead on TALENT, Jane would STILL be on the show.

If Jane WASN’T the CREATOR of the “Dancing With the Stars” DOLLS which ABC/Disney will be the RECIPIENT of part of the ROYALTIES (which will be LARGE during this CHRISTMAS season) , Jane would STILL be on the show.

If this show WASN’T based upon the CONSTANT attention the MEDIA as given to Marie, Donny, and the entire Osmond family since BEFORE the show ever came on the air, and the continued PREFERENTIAL treatment ALL of the Hollywood gossip shows have been given them, Jane would STILL be on the show.

Had it NOT been for BOTH Marie’s and Donny’s ability to MANIPULATE the VIEWERS and MEDIA by CONTINUALLY pulling the “sympathy card”, Jane would STILL be on the show.

If Marie HADN’T had her dance partner DUMP her on TOP of the judges’ desk (the SAME stunt Mel B. pulled a week EARLIER with Bruno, the Latin Judge), so Marie could turn around and give the British Judge (Len) a KISS on the CHEEK so HE would score HER a “10″ (which WORKED)–Jane would STILL be on the show!

It’s SAD that a CLASSY lady Jane Seymour who DIDN’T stoop to such CHILDISH behavior was forced OFF the show in such an UNFAIR way by those who are SKILLED at playing DIRTY!

P.S. To those who DON’T like my COMMENTS, and try to say what a “hard time” Marie has with her “faint” and how her Daddy died, let me SAY that Jane did NOT pull the SAME garbage. She ALSO had a PARENT recently die (her Mom) and Jane’s HOME was in danger from the FIRES, plus she ended up in the HOSPITAL because of FOOD POISONING!

Furthermore, I think Marie should receive an Academy Award for “Best Actress on a Dance Floor”! I’ve actually SEEN people FAINT and in ALL the cases, their EYES rolled BACK into their HEADS. Marie simply CLOSED her eyes and they said she AWOKE with a FEW SECONDS and the FIRST thing she ASKED for were her SCORES! In MOST cases when people faint they are OUT for LONGER than just a FEW SECONDS! Even Marie’s own DANCE PARTNER said HE thought she was FAKING it because HE said she CONSTANLY plays JOKES on him. Marie ADMITTED she DOES so WHY should WE believe Marie actually FAINTED? As BADLY as she WANTS this AWARD, I believe Marie is willing to do ANYTHING to GET it! Being the only GIRL in a FAMILY of so many BOYS, she is PRACTICED at HOW to get ATTENTION!

what is up with the coverage of this show. Extra doesn’t even mention Mel B. Seems rather shady to me.

Marie needs to be kicked off the show. She doesn’t have talent for dancing and yet the coverage would suggest otherwise.

I can not believe that Marie is still on the show. She should have been voted off the week she passed out. That was her worse dance, but because of all the drama, she is being keep on the show. She is going to end up winning and when she does I am so over the show. Sabrina should still be on there dancin her heart out. Melody will probly be voted off next week, and it is real shame. Cause right now she is the best. I enjoyed watching Jane alot more than Marie. Sorry the girl should step aside and let the others that deserve to be there be there. Marie be a lady a step down, go home. Stop with the Sympathy crap. Now they are putting her son in drug rehab, What next????

They don’t mention Mel V. cause the show has got to be rigged this year, cause we all know Marie is not the best. So What is Up Extra?????

I think this is just one more time when BJ and others love to bash the Osmonds. Leave them alone. Just because you don’t like the result, let’s not cry about it. Grow up. This is a popularity contest. The most votes wins. I think Marie has done an amazing job. My thoughts are with Jane and Marie because losing a parent is always difficult.

Sorry Marie, I guess you are not allowed to win a competition if you work hard and are a successful business woman. Boo hoo, BJ, boo hoo.

    Way to go, Marie
    I love you!

Jeolousy! That’s what it is. Marie Osmond is successful and beautiful. She also has class. I’m certain you wouldn’t find her talking about an individual the way a few of you just did. You’re unbelievably crititical and judgemental of not just Marie, but possibly of other people and it’s not attractive. As one person commented earlier, “Get a life!”

P.S. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints is not a cult, BJ. I suggest studying and researching subjects before making judgements, whether it be religion or anything else. Good luck.

JANE SEYMOUR WAS FANTASTIC! SHE RECEIVED ALL OF MY VOTES EACH WEEK, AND I WAS SO VERY SORRY TO SEE HER ELIMINATED.
SHE’S A TRUE LADY, AND PROVED TO BE ONE HELLUVA DANCER.
I WAS HOPING SHE’D MAKE IT TO THE FINALS.

Jane, I have loved watching you since “Somewhere in Time” loved Dr. Quinn. I am a big fan. I only wished you could have gone on to the finals for your Mum. She is up there keeping an eye on you just as mine is. She saved us from dying in our house fire April 03′. I, m so glad everything turned out good for you & the fire

Personally I was sad to see Jane leave however be it may as it were the 4 remaining couples by vote and judges are the best. Personally if we stick to just the dancing I believe that the final 2 couples will be mel and helio…….and helio and julianne will bring home the trophy. Although I like marie and jen I personally do not think that their dancing is equal to mel and helio.

It seems strange, Donnie (Professional and sister to Marie)promoting Marie (who is professional)every day on Television, when in the past and in the first Dancing With The Stars, the actress from day time soaps was disqualified. Marie is not the best dancer. We will be disappointed if she should win. For a change, we have something to watch with class and had hoped would be judged on Talent, not Sympathy.

I THINK DOONY OSMOND BEING A COMMENTATOR ON A SHOW WHERE HIS SISTER IS COMPETING IS TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE

  • Donna
    Nov 21, 2007 at 10:12 am

Honey ain’t no body jealous of Maria, if the girl could dance that would be fine, she looks like a stiff pole trying to bend out there. The only reason she is still on the show is cause everyone feels sorry for her. Oh she fainted, Oh her son is in rehab, and I am not going to say nothing bad about the dead, but come on, she should have been voted off the week she pretended to pass out. I have passed out before, and She did a real good job a faking.

  • Donna
    Nov 22, 2007 at 8:29 pm

My thought exactly, Donnie should not be commintating the show, that his sister is competeing on. He sure ain’t building no body else up the way he builds her up. Ain’t nothing imparcial about the year.

Come on people. This is meant to be fun and entertaining. Everyone has different opinions and taistes. I do not think you need to be putting Marie down so much. Even the judges say she is the most entertaining dancer. If that is what someone likes, then they can vote for her. I thought Jane was graceful, but didn’t look relaxed. Even though I liked some of her performance, I didn’t vote for her.

As someone said, “Get A Life!!!” This is just entertainment and suppose to be fun.

I totally agree that Marie should have been gone a long time ago. I am sick and tired of seeing both her and her brother constantly campaigning to win the competition. Entertainment Tonight, and Inside Edition are doing a great job of promoting the campaign. This is worse than the presidential campaigning. It’s too bad that the voting has become a popularity contest instead of a vote for the best dancer. Don’t know if I will want to watch next season if this is the type of coverage that the media is pushing. If another Osmond decides to push themselves onto the show next season, wonder what tactics they will use next time.!!!

Jane….she was a good dancer but she cared too much about her image,She just didnt put enough effort into it!

I think the culmination of emotional and physical drain (mom’s death and food poisoning), plus Tony’s careful approach for her very bad back (fused and bad discs, which improved greatly from ballroom dance and proper technique) added to the choreography decisions. She was just ready to break out, healthier, when the votes went against, for many reasons. I wanted to see her continue to improve.
