Dancing With the Stars: How Could This Happen!?!

by Lynn on October 31st, 2007

Sabrina Bryan

I was completely shocked to see Sabrina Bryan eliminated this week. How could this happen? I totally expected her to be in the final three along with Mel and Helio. She deserved to be there longer.

The only possible explanation that I can think of is that everyone wanted to save the underdogs, Marie & Jane and forgot to vote for Sabrina.

This just emphasizes that if the dancers are good, people need to vote for them every week! Don’t leave it for everyone else to do, because they may not either.

I’m sad to see Sabrina leave the show this week. Her dances were always sparkling with energy and her infectious enthusiasm. What a loss for the show!

What do you think about this turn of events? Leave a comment to share your thoughts!

i’m shocked! i don’t know what happened but it is very discouraging. maybe mark and sabrina can dance every tuesday instead of always cheryl, let’s see some others for a change. it definitely isn’t about talent is it?

Sabrina was never my favorite, but she did not deserve to go home. This is just as bad as when Kelly Monaco won season 1. She didn’t know how to tone down some of her movements to make it soft and elegant. Too Bad! Would’ve like to see her do a waltz.

    I just can’t believe it!
Come on, she was the best so far!!
    Un-be-lie-ve-able !!!

I am very disappointed. The show won’t be the same - she WAS the best dancer. There is quite a petition on DWTS message boards to get them back for a dance-off. Apparently on the British version, Baby Spice did a dance-off after ‘wrongful’ elimination…..hmmm - will the power of the viewers’ voice make a difference - we’ll see. I think they’re in love.

I was hoping it was Sabrina over Edyta and her partner. I never saw what people saw in Sabrina. Her moves were so jagged and forced and hard, her dancing was so uneasy to the eye for me. Her delivery was good for the jive but the edginess really showed during the rumba, in my opinion. Truth be told i rarely like the crowd favorite, i.e. Mario, Stacy K. Good looks aren’t enough to convince me.

Well, from week 1 (cha cha) IMHO she was the best technically, also the judges said so. I think she could dance before coming at DWTS…
More, we lost Mark Ballas, great dancer, great show-man…

Oh, Nanuciao i would bet my annual salary on that. I bet she has taken dance lessons since she was like, her spins are to good for someone new to dancing. For some reason so many celebs come on the show and lie about previous dance experience. Thats why my mouth fell open when Jane Seymore actually admitted to dance training.

    conspiracy theory…
Well here in wisconsin dancing with the stars did not air till 11 p.m. and lets face it the cheeta girl following would be in bed by then, right? I think it was a delay because the of the monday nught football. (Packers v.s?) So there goes a huge chunk of voters. I agree sabrina was the fa vorite to win. But Mel B Is the fun one to watch now

the people in charge certainly know who has dance experience, i think it’s a ploy to bring more publicity to the tour which in turn will bring more viewers to the next season. Filipinos at this California hospital are wanting Julianne to be the winner again, we want a change in who the dancing queen is……….

Sabrina was, by far, one of the best dancers this season. I think it should have been Mel B and Sabrina in the end. In my opinion, they are the best dancers. I was glad to see Cameron go this week, he just didn’t do it for me. It just goes to show that sometimes, it’s just one big popularity contest.

People, get over yourselves! Sabrina should never have been on the show to begin with! She’s a professional dancer, ok? That means that the show was supposed to be teaching Ameteurs to Ballroom dance–Ameteurs, not proffessionals, idiots! It’s like one of you getting into the Boxing ring with Floyd Mayweather, He’d kill you because you were not trained to fight in a ring. Well, of course Sabrina was the Best Dancer, she’s only been dancing since she was 3! And lay off Marie & Jane, they are doing alot better than most of you who are sitting on you dead asses getting ready to die at 30. In fact I’d even be willing to be that if any of you went up against Marie in dancing, she’d kill you! So, in short, SHHUUUUTUUUUUP!

if sabrina was taken of the show due to previous dancing experience then drew lachey should have been taken off. he is married to a choreographer and he had dance experience, too bad julianne wasn’t on the show then cheryl would never have won…….

I agree with you nene. Julianne is one heck of a dancer. Same thing with her brother Derek- who is one heck of a coreographer!

Olivia, hopefully you r callin in 2 vote 4 Julianne 2 win 4 the 2nd time; we r a group of Filipino nurses that want her 2 have that title and have respect 4 it. We do not want 2 be represented in the wrong way. Filipinos do not spend r time in bars, we work hard 2 take care of r families here and in PI. We feel Julianne is more like us….

Nene, how are u correlating Julianne to Filipinos….please explain that to me. The explanation u have here on Nov. 21 is crazy. If u are pulling for her b/c of Apolo ohno just say that? But he’s not filipino. And I surely hope u dont thk blonde haired naturally blue eyed Julianne is part filipino. She’s a Utah Mormon.

For all of you who always make the asinine statement…”this is just a popularity contest” or “they should just make this a popularity contest”. Hold on to your seats here comes some heavy truth i seriously don’t thk u guys are ready for but here goes…. It is a popularity contest and has been since the beginning of the shows creation. That is the reason thy have celebrities on their and not unknowns. And the reason the host say at the beginning of every show “call in and vote for you favorite”, “don’t forget to call for your favorite star”, etc. So stop trying to change the show to fit ur selfish desires.

angie did i say that Julianne was a flip i said we were and that’s where we want to put are votes, We are glad she’s a Mormon, their values are wonderful! The msg was as flips we will vote for decency 1st not just because someone is a flip too. I do agree w/ u that it is just popularity contest a studios tactful way of getting the show to be out in front…ratings=MONEY!!!!!!!

I say that DWTS/ABC should consider a new group of pro dancers for the next season. Time for a change of personalities, issues, techniques, routines, attitudes, etc. 5 seasons of the same dancers is enough, le us see what and who else is in this field

I like Helio, but I was so dissapointed that Marie Osmond just pissed away any chances she may have had with taking the Mirror Ball home. I’t was so sad.
