Dancing With the Stars: The Women Dance
Season 5 of Dancing With the Stars kicked off last night with the six women doing their debut dances. They each had to do either a Cha-Cha or a Foxtrot. None of the women were truly bad. (You know, some seasons, the first show gives us a couple of totally awful dancers…the ones we know will not last long.) They were all pretty good for the first show of the season!
And a couple of them were fabulous! I think we’re in for a great season! Perhaps we’ll even get another woman winner this year…
Anyway, without further ado, here’s the first seven dances of the season. First, the professional dancers show us how it’s done:
(lots more after the jump)
Here’s Jennie Garth with pro dancer (and Julianne Hough’s brother) Derek Hough dancing a Cha-Cha. she’s pretty good and Derek is totally hot!
Here’s Josie Maran and season 1 winner & newlywed, Alec Mazo dancing a foxtrot. Looks like Alex has his work cut out for him. But she danced better than he let us expect.
Next was Cheetah Girl, Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas dancing a fabulous Cha-Cha. She’s going to be a contender.
Then Marie Osmond and Jonathan Roberts took the stage to dance a pretty good foxtrot.
The next pair to dance was Melanie Brown and Maksim Chmerkovskiy and they did a very good Cha-Cha. She’s another contender.
And last, but certainly not least was Jane Seymour and Tony Dovolani to dance a very elegant foxtrot. You can tell by her hand movements and her simple grace that she has dance ability. I’m looking forward to watching her this season.
Be sure to tune in tonight for the second part of the season premiere. Tonight, the six men will take the floor and show us what they can do. And then stop back here tomorrow for the recap and video clips of the show!
