So You Think You Can Dance: Top 12 Dancers Competition Recap

This is the last week that the current pairs will dance together as couples. After this week, two things will happen. One, they will be included in the live SYTYCD tour. And two, they will choose new partners each week.

Here’s how this week went:

Dominic and Sabra
Jive: choreographer - Tony Meredith

I loved their dance! They managed to incorporate their personalities perfectly into the dance, including Dominic’s silliness. It was well danced, lively and fun!

Hok and Jaimie
Broadway: choreographer - Tyce Diorio - with assistant, Travis Wall!!

Fabulous! Hok was, of course, completely fluid and executed every move effortlessly, or so it seemed. Jaime was the vision of grace and they were perfect together. This one is one of my favorites that I’ve seen them dance together. The judges weren’t thrilled, but I am. Please vote for them, folks!

Pasha and Sara
Jazz: choreographer - Mandy Moore

They did a great job! The suspender moves were sexy and cool, the moves were all hot and they really worked well together. Great job! All I can say is that I’m so glad I don’t have to be a judge for this show!

Neil and Lauren
Contemporary: choreographer - Mia Michaels

I have to admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of this dance. They executed it well and they seemed to master the dance, but it just didn’t do it for me. I hope it doesn’t put them in the bottom three.

Danny and Anya
Foxtrot: choreographer - Jean-Marc Generaux

They did a lovely foxtrot. Anya has a seriously injured ankle, but it was not something that you could even tell when they were dancing. Danny was so graceful and did a good job with the partnering skills. I really enjoyed this one.

Kameron and Lacey
Hip-hop: choreographer - Dan Karaty

It was cute, but I just don’t think it was the best hip-hop I’ve seen done. Their dance was just not as snappy as I would have expected. I’m no hip-hop expert, but this just didn’t seem to get it. They have great chemistry, but the technique wasn’t the best for me.

What did you think of the dance performances this week? Who do you think should be in the bottom three and who do you think should not? Leave a comment to let us know!

And then come back tomorrow for both the videos of the performances and the results show coverage.
